Sara Schmidt is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of art, architecture, color, and materiality. Her practice spans large-scale, site-specific installations and architecturally integrated artwork, as well as painting, drawing, and digital experiences.

With over 25 years of experience working across art, design, and the built environment, Sara brings both an artist's perspective and a deep understanding of architectural collaboration to her work. Working across traditional and emerging mediums—from glass, tile, wood, and metal to digital and interactive technologies—she creates thoughtful, engaging artwork that brings beauty, character, and joy to public spaces.

Endlessly inspired by nature, color, and a curiosity about the world, Sara spent much of her childhood in Asia, where exposure to different cultures and environments shaped her creative perspective and lifelong love of exploration. Her practice continues to be influenced by the landscapes and places she has called home, from the Pacific Northwest and California desert to New York City.

Sara studied Interior Architecture at The University of Oregon and holds an MFA in Media Design from ArtCenter College of Design. She lives and works in New York City.
